A leading Indian distributor of multispecialty chemicals company based in Mumbai seeking a Business Development Manager for Food Ingredients business.

Company Brief : The company has history of over 25 years and has over 75 employees across three verticals of Food Ingredients Personal Ingredients and other Specialty Chemicals . The company deals in over 325 products sourced from over 40 global suppliers and well established relationship with over 4000 clients across India.

Role: Business Development Manager/ Key Account Manager Food Ingredients
Job Location: Mumbai Bengaluru Delhi
Educational Requirement:
1) B.Tech/M.Tech Food Technology or equivalent degree
2) Graduate with MBA or equivalent degree (with good Commercial experience)
Experience :
10 15 years of relevant industry experience preferably selling of food ingredients to industries such as bakery confectionery dairy Nutritional supplements etc
About the role:
The job entails developing/generating business for Food Ingredients products by implementing / executing strategies for growth through the product lines of leading principals we represent to achieve the division s objective & targets.

Product Knowledge: Should know product application and customer base of following products: Cocoa Powder Defoamers Fat Powders Lactose Potato Starch Preservatives Fibers Probiotics and Whey Powders.

Brief Description of Duties:
Responsible for achieving the divisions sales & receivables targets.
Keeping track of industry trends about market development identifying new products competitive activity customers etc.
Develop & maintain relations with customers including key accounts and strengthen existing relationships.
Must consistently track the development of sales strategies and act resourcefully to achieve
organizational goals and objectives.
Using knowledge of the market and competitors identify and develop unique selling propositions and differentiators for products.
Identify new business opportunities for products / Principals.
Handle & guide a team of techno commercial professionals.
Skills Set/Area of Expertise:
Hands on experience on selling products such as Starches Whey proteins Cocoa powders Yeast extract Preservatives etc.
People Management Skills
Possess good communication & strategic prospecting skills.
Sound analytical & problemsolving skills good negotiation skills & growth mindset
Willing to travel extensively
Preferred Experience:
Should have commercial experience of handling customers from food industries such as bakery confectionery dairy ice cream etc would be an added advantage
Exposure in handling Key accounts as well as mid & small size customers
Experience in handling customers from different regions of India
Competency to identify new products/applications to grow the business
