Backend QA Tester fmd

As a Backend QA Tester you will join the Backend Services team and ensure that the quality of our backend services meet the highest standards. You will work closely with crossfunctional teams including development product management and customer support to identify escalate and resolve quality issues as well as develop and maintain quality metrics and reports.

What you will do

• Develop and implement the QA strategy policies procedures and standards for the backend services team
• Work closely with the development and product management teams to understand product requirements and communicate changes
• Develop and execute manual and automated test plans test cases and scripts to ensure that products meet quality standards
• Perform root cause analysis on quality issues and work with crossfunctional teams to implement corrective and preventive actions
• Develop and maintain quality metrics and reports and communicate quality status and progress to stakeholders
• Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the QA processes and identify areas for improvement
• Collaborate with customer support to identify escalate and resolve quality issues reported by customers

Who you are

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field or relevant technical ability
• At least 2 years of experience in software quality assurance or API testing
• Knowledge of API TEsting principles and best practices
• Proficiency in manual API Testing using Postman is a must
• Knowledge of writing prerequest scripts and tests for automated test runs with Postman is a plus
• Knowledge of Databases performing transactions running scripts etc.
• Demonstrated interest in developing and implementing QA strategies policies procedures and standards
• Good knowledge of software development methodologies tools and techniques
• Excellent analytical problemsolving and decisionmaking skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with crossfunctional teams
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment is a plus
