PENETRATION TESTER
Standard responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive penetration tests on internal and externalsystems networks and applications to identify securityvulnerabilities.
- Utilize a variety of tools and techniques to simulate realworldcyber attacks including but not limited to network scanning webapplication testing and social engineering.
- Document and report findings including detailed descriptions ofvulnerabilities their potential impact and recommended remediationsteps.
- Collaborate with internal teams to prioritize and address identifiedvulnerabilities in a timely manner.
- Stay uptodate on the latest security trends threats andvulnerabilities and actively participate in knowledge sharing andtraining activities.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Science Information Security or a relatedfield.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in penetration testing or relatedcybersecurity roles.
- Proficient in at least one or more scripting languages (i.e. bashpython PowerShell ruby etc.)
- Indepth knowledge of common security vulnerabilities and attackvectors as well as countermeasures and best practices formitigation.
- Handson experience with penetration testing tools such asMetasploit Burp Suite Nmap Wireshark etc
- Experience employing advanced forensic tools and techniques forattack reconstruction including dead system analysis and volatiledata collection and analysis
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability tothink creatively to identify and exploit vulnerabilities.
- Familiarity with best practices frameworks such as OWASP OSSTMM orPTES
- Relevant certifications such as CEH OSCP or CISSP are highlydesirable.
