Accountant

• Executing the daily operations of the accounting department including, but not limited to:general ledger, taxes, month and end-year process, accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, payroll and utilities, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliation, financial assets, account statement reconciliation etc.
  
• Participating in the preparation and maintenance of accurate and complete financial records and statements, participating in audits and reconciliation and providing information for the annual external audit as needed.
  
• Assist in preparing budget and financial forecasts
  
• Computing taxes and preparing tax returns
  
• Tracking organisation expenses and managing income and expenditure accounts
  
• Managing the company s accounts payable and receivable
  
• Keeping informed about the latest developments in the accounting and finance industry.
  

Requirements

• BSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree
  
• knowledge of basic accounting procedures and regulations
  
• A minimum of 3 years work experience as an accountant
  
• A background in auditing is desirable
  
• Exceptional numerical and analytical skill with high level of efficiency and accuracy
  
• Attention to detail and the ability to analyse large amounts of data
  
• Proficiency in MS Office applications and accounting software
  
• Excellent organisational skills with high attention to details
  
• Ability to maintain accurate financial records.
  
• Additional certification (such as ICAN) is a plus
