Process all reservation requests, changes and cancellations received by phone, fax or mail. Determine guest booking needs, select appropriate room type, and verify room type availability and price. Explain the warranty, special rate and cancellation policies to callers. Accommodate and document special requests. Answer questions about the property's facilities/services and room accommodations. Follow selling techniques to maximize revenue. Communicate information regarding assigned VIP reservations. Enter and access data into the reservation system. Respond to any challenges encountered in accommodating room requests by contacting the appropriate individual or department. Supervise the accuracy of room blocks and reservations. Enter group room listings using reservation systems, review room groups to maintain the required number of rooms available and maintain organized files for all groups. Prepare appropriate billing accounts in accordance with accounting policies.
