Family in Battersea, SW11, is looking for a German, Flemish or Danish speaking nanny to care for their 8 month old baby.
"We are looking for someone to spend 1-2 days/ week (preference for Monday/ Tuesday) with our little 8-month old boy. We d expect the right candidate to be reliable, compassionate and very attuned to the needs of a little non-verbal baby. Responsibilities include
- communicating in German OR alternatively Flemish/Dutch (speaking, playing, reading, singing)
- preparing and serving 3 meals of solids/ day, according to a special diet (adjusted for allergies).
- Offering milk feeds in between meals
- Maintenance of physical hygiene throughout the day (i.e. hands, face) and nappy changes.
- At least one daily outing for a walk or activity
- Supporting baby to go to sleep for daytime naps
- Depending on start/ finish time on the day, winding down for evening routine (I.e. bathtime)
- Good understanding of babies development
- Approach compatible with gentle parenting methods (I.e. no crying out, supporting child through co-regulation etc.)
- Tidying after yourself and baby"
20- 22 per hour dependant on Skills, experience and qualifications
Requirements
Speaks German or Flemish/Dutch fluently
Baby experience
Living within commutable distance of Battersea, SW11
Loving, experienced, responsible nanny.
Nanny, with initiative and energy. Trustworthy and reliable and punctual.
Loving but firm. Able to teach good manners.
Up to date Enhanced DBS (you can apply through Kinder Nannies & Staff)
Recent Paediatric First Aid certificate (you can take a refresher course)
Right to work in UK (& already living in the UK) and have proof
Good references for recent and relevant nanny / childcare work
Able to run after small children
Be able to engage in play at floor level for extended periods of time and get up from the floor quickly.
