Job Summary
Senior Research Assistant (holding the functional title of Statistical Officer) in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 536324) (to commence as soon as possible for one year with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree a Masters degree with at least 1 year of experience or a Bachelors degree with at least 3 years of experience in statistics or a related discipline. Experience in statistical analysis and proficiency in statistical software (e.g. SPSS R Python) are preferred. Knowledge of clinical trials and/or biomedical research would be an advantage. Applicants should be reliable honest committed self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility and able to work independently as well as in a team.
The appointee will assist in clinical trials and other research projects. Patient contact may be necessary as part of the duties. He/she will conduct statistical analysis power/sample size estimation prepare publications contribute to grant proposals and reports and perform other duties as assigned.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
