Position Summary:

The Billing Representative is involved in the billing of private insurance
companies Medicare and Medicaid.

What the Billing Representative will need:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one (1) year of data entry experience required.
• Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
• Ability to work under stress to accomplish deadlines.
• Detail oriented.
  PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
• Frequently required to walk sit stand use hands to handle or feel talk and hear.
• Involves frequent lifting/carrying pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds

What the Billing Representative will do:

• Inputs and updates all patient data.
• Prepares sends and tracks CMNs and prescriptions to physicians.
• Obtains insurance authorization and recertificationas needed.
• Maintains accurate and complete records concerning billing activity and inventory tracking.
• Is familiar with the rules and regulations regardingthe type of coverage being billed.
• Examines insurance explanation of benefits toassure responsibility and identify rejectedinsurance billings. Rework and rebill rejectedaccounts in a timely manner.
• Advises other staff members on collections adjustments and general office procedures toinsure claims are clean.
