What Youll Do

• Lead Engineering Teams: Develop and mentor Technical Leads and engineering teams across a distributed structure driving high performance and engagement.

• Drive Delivery Excellence: Oversee planning execution and delivery across multiple teams ensuring alignment with business priorities and customer commitments.

• Advance AI & Productivity: Embed AI-assisted engineering practices to enhance development efficiency quality and innovation.

• Strengthen Technical Capability: Champion modern cloud (AWS) and engineering practices including microservices APIs CI/CD and automation.

• Collaborate Across Functions: Work closely with Product Architecture QA DevOps and Delivery to ensure cohesive execution and outcomes.

• Enhance Quality & Standards: Establish and maintain strong engineering standards focusing on scalability security and performance.

• Manage Risk & Improve Continuously: Proactively identify delivery risks resolve issues and drive continuous improvement across teams.

What You Bring

• Proven experience leading software engineering teams across multiple layers of leadership including Technical Leads.

• Strong people leadership skills with the ability to coach inspire and develop high-performing teams.

• Experience leading distributed teams across regions and cultures.

• Deep understanding of modern engineering practices cloud technologies (preferably AWS) and software architecture.

• Exposure to AI-assisted development and engineering productivity improvements.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across technical and business audiences.

• Expertise in CI/CD microservices APIs containerisation and secure development practices.

• A passion for continuous improvement innovation and delivery excellence.

Nice to have:

• Experience in energy utilities or enterprise software domains

• Background in cloud transformation or large-scale modernisation

• Familiarity with tools such as Jira Confluence GitHub and CI/CD platforms
