JOB SUMMARY:
The Arborist Representative will partner with Operations and other functional groups to develop and implement processes and practices which leverage business intelligence into enhanced business performance. Will be responsible for the management of sales efforts across assigned territories by working as an intermediary between operations staff maintenance partners and prospective clients.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
- Bachelors degree from four-year college or university; or five years minimum related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience
- At least 3 years related work experience
- B2B sales experience a plus
License
- As required by state and federal law
- Valid driver license issued by the state where employed
- Valid ISA Certified Arborist certification a plus
- Valid CTSP certification a plus
Specialist Skills
- Strong customer service
- Ability to work variable hours including evenings and weekends and to travel
- extensively within territories
- Knowledge of tree care principles pruning techniques tree ID and disease ID
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently to complete multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
- Experience working the commercial property managers a plus
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Organizational skills
- Flexibility
- Intermediate understanding of CRM software
- Intermediate understanding of Microsoft Excel Word and Outlook
- Ability to define problems collect data establish facts and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to analyze and interpret business periodicals
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written oral diagram and/or schedule format
- Ability to read write and comprehend English
- Ability to speak effectively present information and answer questions

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Interface with Vice President Regional Sales Manager and Branch Managers to develop present and negotiate the recommended portfolio of services to ensure profitability and customer satisfaction
- Manage opportunities through AborNote to provide visibility of sales efforts to management
- Develop contacts and prospects to ensure long-term profitability for Monarch and its customers through cold-calling market research and internal lead development
- Generate job estimates/bid proposals including scope of work accurate site boundaries and measurements and estimate of labor and materials in cooperation with operations
- Reply to client Requests for Proposal in a timely and professional manner
- Meet or exceed established annual sales targets
- Attend RFP pre-bid meetings and proposal presentations
- Maintain relationships with key clients to seek out and take advantage of opportunities for networking and additional sales generation
- Attend staff and sales meetings to assess business opportunities and ensure mutual understanding of Monarchs strategic focus
- Facilitate contact with existing and potential clients via trade shows association events and meetings
- Manage sales promotions budget
- Ensure a smooth transition from contract signing to contract fulfillment by facilitating introductory meeting and site walk-through between client and operations
- Other duties as assigned
