Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support healthcare providers in delivering high-quality patient care within assigned clinical areas. This role involves both clinical and administrative responsibilities ensuring efficient patient flow and compliance with healthcare regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist providers with patient examinations procedures and diagnostic testing
- Support treatment plans dressing changes and patient care activities under physician supervision
- Perform patient intake including vital signs and medical history documentation
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR/EMR)
- Handle appointment scheduling patient registration and demographic updates
- Conduct insurance verification and eligibility checks
- Manage referral processing and medical necessity documentation
- Support billing functions including copay collection and payment posting
- Provide excellent customer service via inbound and outbound calls
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA TJC CLIA NCQA and other regulatory standards
- Maintain a clean organized and efficient clinical environment
Required Qualifications:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Strong knowledge of clinical workflows and patient care procedures
- Experience with EPIC or similar EHR/EMR systems
- Excellent communication multitasking and time management skills
- Proficiency in data entry and scheduling software
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in front desk operations and call center support
- Strong understanding of insurance processes and billing support
- Ability to handle high patient volume in a fast-paced environment
- Professional phone etiquette and customer service skills
Work Environment:
- Clinical setting (hospital/clinic)
- Direct patient interaction
