As a Locum D Gastroenterologist you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality healthcare services to our patients. Your expertise will help in diagnosing and treating a variety of gastrointestinal conditions while collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive gastroenterological care to patients
- Conduct patient assessments and develop treatment plans
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care
- Document patient progress and treatment outcomes
- Educate patients about gastrointestinal health and wellness
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in gastroenterology
- Adhere to all clinical protocols and standards of care
Requirements
- Medical degree with specialization in Gastroenterology
- Associate-level experience in a clinical setting
- Current medical license to practice in the state
- Strong diagnostic and procedural skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Commitment to patient-centered care
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Schedule: 7a-7p overnight beeper call
Level II trauma
Setting: 100% inpatient
Daily Volume: 4-5 new consults 15-18 inpatients 4 procedures
ERCP and EUS required
Must be comfortable with moderate sedation
Support Staff: 1-2 APPs
Must teach APPs
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
Paid travel & expenses
