Locum MD (Medical Doctor), DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Anesthesiology

This contract position is on-site and offers a unique opportunity to work within a vibrant medical practice focused on delivering exceptional patient care.

As a Locum Anesthesiologist you will play a crucial role in providing anesthesia services across various surgical procedures. Your expertise will ensure the safety and comfort of patients while collaborating with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical procedures
• Monitor patients vital signs throughout the surgical process
• Collaborate with surgeons and medical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Evaluate patients medical histories and assess risks related to anesthesia
• Provide post-anesthesia care and assess recovery progress
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of anesthesia records
• Stay current with advancements in anesthesia techniques and practices
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations in the operating room

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Valid medical license to practice in the state of South Carolina
• Board certification in Anesthesiology or eligibility for certification
• Strong clinical skills and the ability to handle high-pressure situations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with surgical teams
• Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
• Experience in a variety of surgical settings is preferred

Schedule: 7:30a-4:30p Monday-Thursday (Friday optional)

Patient Volume: 20-25 per day

Responsibilities: New consults & procedure followups

Case Types: 100% pain management

Procedures: Injections epidurals joint injections Botox spinal cord & peripheral nerve stimulation Versed sedation

Support Staff: 1 MD with 2 APPs

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified or board-eligible

Paid travel & expenses
