DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a(n) Manager Japan located in Tokyo Japan.
Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopedics business to establish a standalone orthopedics company operatingasDePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months subject to legal requirements including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies as may be required regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Job Overview
The Manager Japan plays a key role in supporting business operations strategy execution and organizational effectiveness within the Japan market. This role partners with regional and global stakeholders to drive operational rigor ensure alignment with enterprise priorities and support growth initiatives. The position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a critical market while contributing to DePuy Synthes commitment to patients customers andemployees .
Key Responsibilities
Support execution of business strategies and operational plans for the Japan market in alignment with regional and global objectives
Partner with crossfunctional teams to coordinate initiatives priorities and deliverables
Analyze business performance metrics and trends to support decisionmaking and continuous improvement
Contribute to planning forecasting and performance management activities
Ensure adherence to governance compliance and internal control requirements
Support change initiatives process improvements and operational effectiveness efforts
Prepare reports presentations and insights for leadership and key stakeholders
Promote DePuy Synthes and Johnson & Johnson Credo values in all activities and interactions
Where required to be managed locally:
Document handling: Print stamp/seal mail/ship distribute and route documents for wet signatures.
Records management: Store/archive/retrieve HR documents;fulfillrequests;coordinateoffsite storage; scan and name for Veeva.
Compliance/admin: Upload/submit filings; print and hand-deliver to agencies; support audits and onsite audit coordination.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelors degree in Business Administration Finance Operations or a related field (required)
Masters degree or MBA (preferred)
Experience and Skills:
Required:
Typically6-8 years of progressive experience in business management operations strategy or related roles
Experience supporting business operations or marketlevel initiatives in a matrixed organization
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to translate data into insights
Ability to partner effectively with crossfunctional and senior stakeholders
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred:
Experience working in Japan market operations or regional roles
Exposure to healthcare medicaldevice or regulated industries
Experience supporting change management or transformation initiatives
Familiarity with performance management and reporting tools
Experience working with regional or global teams
Other:
Languages: Japanese and English proficiency required
Travel: Up to 1020% domestic and regional travel
Certifications: Business management project management or related certifications (preferred)
