Business Strategy and Planning Director

As a dedicatedBusiness Strategy and Planning Directoryouwill providesupport and guidance to executive management toidentifydevelopand communicate specific business strategies across functional areasutilizingexpert knowledge of USAA industry business development and financial planning. Lead strategic analyses of business needs and environmental trends in support of business strategy development and planning processes and asappropriate enterprise strategy and planning processes. Conduct business strategy reviews to assess progress and drive awareness of strategy achievement.

This role is remote eligible in the continental U.S. with occasional business travel. However individualsresidingwithin a 60-mile radius of a USAA office will be expected to work on-site 4 days per week.

Whatyoulldo:

• Drives the development and coordination of components within the overarching strategy for the Function.

• Works with executive management toestablishstrategic and operational framework thatestablishesenables short and long-term business goals and key results.

• Develops specific processes to manage the business strategic and operational planning process.

• Drives the alignment of business process and frameworks to enterprise strategyprocessand framework.

• Partners with senior-level leaders across functions and channels to develop near- and long-term visions and roadmaps and works with business leaders to manage transition from strategy to execution.

• Maintains responsibility of integration of change management plans project documentation and strategies for large complex business specific initiatives that oftenimpactthe organization and/or enterprise.

• Identifiesstrengths and weaknesses to evaluate operational effectiveness byestablishingbest practices and management routines to address gaps.

• Guides team members as they perform research and analysis.

• Supports executive leadership by leading the design coordination and governance of the annual strategic planning and operational planning processes.

• Leads and motivates cross-functional team members in strategy and operational plan development and implementation.

• Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectivelyidentified measuredmonitored and controlledin accordance withrisk and compliance policies and procedures.

What you have:

• Bachelors degree; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience) may be substituted in lieu of degree.

• 8 years ofdirectly relatedbusiness planning consultation experience to include developing business strategy for short-term and/or long-term goals.

• Experience influencing and managing communication to senior executives internal colleagues through conciseofficialand regular updates on status progressstrategiesand roadmaps.

• Extensive experience in ProjectManagement.

• Strong business acumen in financial services or related industry and a proven ability to balance strategic thinking with practical implementation skills.

• Experience working with clients/customers to realize business issues and develop a strategy for the businesss direction from the gathered insights.

What sets you apart:

• Prior experience in financial services strategy business planning or management consulting with direct consumer banking exposure (credit card and/or deposits preferred).

• Prior Chief of Staff strategy director or business management role supporting a senior executive in a large matrixed organization.

• Experience owning an annual strategic planning and operating plan cycle including target-setting prioritization and performance tracking across a multi-product business.

• Proven ability to synthesize complex data into executive-level narratives; strongtrack recordbuilding board and C-suite materials.

• Demonstratedtrack recorddriving alignment across product technology risk finance and marketing on behalf of a senior leader.

• Experience building or managing operating cadences business reviews OKRs KPIdashboards governance forums.

• Familiarity with the consumer banking competitive landscape including fintech and digital banking players.

• Comfortoperatingwith ambiguity; ability torepresentexecutive priorities and make decisions independently.

• MBA from a top-tier program strongly preferred; management consulting background a plus.

• US military experience through military service or a military spouse/domestic partner.

Compensation range:The salary range for this position is: $114080 - $218030.
