Responsibilities for the Mental Health Professional / Team Lead:

• Oversee the administrative operations of the team.
• Provide clinical oversight of services ensuring patients are seen in accordance with their needs and the delivery of best and ethical practices.
• Provide direct services to ACT service beneficiaries.
• Ensure services are documented in accordance with SCBHDD/QA requirements.
• Provide direct supervision to ACT team members to include but not limited to facilitating clinical supervision meetings treatment team meetings coordinating training for team and completing evaluations.
• Ensure a department commitment to cultural affairs and ensure all direct reports have a cultural affairs component to his or her planning document as measurable objective.
• Comply with Corporate Compliance Policy and Risk Management Plan and ensures timely completion of prior authorization.
• Pursue professional development through collegial consultation continuing education and licensure.

• A masters degree in guidance counseling the social sciences or a related field and professional experience in a mental health human service or social service program.

• In order to be credentialed for core services as a Mental Health Professional at the SC Office of Mental Health applicants must provide evidence of clinical experience providing direct patient care. This experience may be documented as a practicum or internship during graduate program or post-graduate clinical experience. • Be licensed as a psychologist LISW-CP LPC or LMFT.

• Have three (3) years experience working with adults diagnosed with serious and persistent mental health illness.

• A minimum of two (2) years post graduate experience.

• Able to lift 5lbs and operate a state vehicle.

• This position is considered essential and may require reporting for duty in the event of weather or similar emergency events.

• Requires flexible schedule

• Services are delivered in the community and patients homes.

• Supervisory experience.

Post hire employees must:

• Have practical therapeutic knowledge of principles methods and counseling practices and procedures for the diagnosis and treatment of serious and persistent mental illness.
• Have the ability to listen and understand and communicate information and ideas so that others will understand.
• Knowledgeable of psychopathology family dynamics family and group psychotherapy.
• Ability to identify and effectively utilize resources available in the community to accomplish objectives.
• Be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals families and representatives of other professional discipline.
• Be able to present clear and comprehensive oral and written reports with the ability to organize and manage time.
