Senior Accountant Department: Finance
Reports To: Finance Manager / Country Finance Head
Overview Our client in the finance and accountancy industry is looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to oversee financial reporting controls reconciliations and compliance within a complex multi-entity operating environment. The role plays a key part in ensuring the integrity of financial data supporting strategic decision-making through robust financial analysis and maintaining strong internal controls across operational and commercial functions.
Key Responsibilities -
Prepare monthly quarterly and annual financial statements and management reports

Maintain general ledger integrity and ensure accurate posting of financial transactions
-
Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
-
Oversee accounts payable accounts receivable and cash flow management
-
Monitor and allocate operational costs across transport routes fleet operations and warehousing activities
-
Review and analyze financial performance against budgets and forecasts
-
Ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations statutory requirements and IFRS standards
-
Coordinate internal and external audits and address audit findings effectively
-
Support budgeting forecasting and variance analysis processes
-
Strengthen and maintain internal financial controls and accounting procedures
-
Supervise mentor and develop junior accounting staff
-
Collaborate with operations and commercial teams to improve cost efficiency and reporting accuracy
-
Support ERP and finance system optimization initiatives
Minimum Requirements -
Bachelors Degree in Accounting Finance or a related field

Professional qualification such as ACCA CIMA or CA (full or finalist preferred)

5 8 years relevant accounting experience preferably within logistics transport supply chain or a high-volume operational environment

Strong knowledge of IFRS taxation and financial reporting standards

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting systems

Strong analytical and reconciliation skills

High level of attention to detail and accuracy
