At the heart of GLOW Academy is a focus on whole girl education. POSITION DETAILS: Part-time 12-Month
POSITION: School Office Receptionist
AVAILABLE: June 1 2026
REPORTS TO: Principal
QUALIFICATIONS:
- EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree preferred
- EXPERIENCE: 2-3 years in an administrative role preferably in an education facility. Preference will be given to individuals who are fluent in conversational Spanish. Knowledge of Infinite Campus is preferred but not required.
SCHOOL OFFICE RECEPTIONIST WILL
Communication and Customer Service
- Be the main point of contact for all visitors to the school
- Provide a welcoming and supportive environment in the front office for students families and all other visitors
- Serve as schools language interpreter and/or coordinate language interpreter services as needed
- Monitor security flags from Ident-A-Kid check-in system
- Be positive approachable and professional in interactions with parents faculty students and community members
- Serve as the front-line public relations person by presenting and explaining GLOWs mission philosophy admissions policy and procedures for enrollment to the community
- Answer incoming telephone calls and establish needs of callers in order to refer them to the appropriate staff person for service; distribute messages to staff; review all incoming information and communication and respond appropriately
- Act as a role model of GLOW Academys social curriculum in all interactions with faculty staff students parents Board of Directors and community members
Data Management
- Support Admissions and Enrollment of new students and families
- Support the management of all student records
- Ensure student and family information is correct and up-to-date
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all student information
School Operations
- Serve as the main point of contact for the ordering receiving and distribution of all supplies
- Ensures that all daily transportation changes are properly received communicated and executed
- Ensure that all substitutes are properly checked in and in the correct classroom
- Serve as the back-up for School Nurse; administer first-aid and medications to students; maintain medication logs for all prescription and non-prescription medications administered
- Attend school-wide events as appropriate
- Perform all other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Principal or designee
- Sign and commit to GLOW Academys professional conduct policy and confidentiality agreement
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Considerable knowledge of data management ideally including Infinite Campus
- Digital fluency in Microsoft Word Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint as well as Google Suite
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing with a preference for candidates fluent in Spanish
- Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to interact with the public in a professional manner
- Is a self-starter- the ideal candidate will be innovative in their approach to meeting personal and department goals
- Physical ability (able to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally) and dexterity to perform the duties and responsibilities of the job
OTHER DUTIES
- Other duties as assigned to ensure successful and effective operations of the office/administration and the school
COMPENSATION: $15-20/hour
SUPPORT
- All new staff will attend a formal orientation to learn more about the school our expectations and to help acclimate our new employees to the school community.
- All new staff with a continuing license will be assigned a GLOW Guide a staff member who will support your transition to our school.
