Position Title: School Psychologist
Location: Gurnee IL 60031
Employment Type: Travel / Contract
Setting: School-Based (Elementary District EC to Grade 8)
District: Woodland District 50
Duration: 42 Weeks (08/17/2026 05/30/2027)
Start Date: 08/17/2026
Shift: Day Shift (7:30 AM 3:30 PM)
Schedule: Monday Friday
Weekly Hours: 37.5 billable hours
Job Summary:
Support student academic behavioral and social-emotional development through psychological evaluation intervention planning and collaboration within a large elementary school district serving Early Childhood through Grade 8.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological and educational evaluations
- Assess academic behavioral and emotional needs of students
- Diagnose learning and behavioral challenges
- Develop intervention strategies and support plans
- Collaborate with teachers administrators and families
- Participate in RTI (Response to Intervention) process
- Support development and implementation of IEPs
- Provide consultation to staff on behavior and learning strategies
- Assist in remediation and intervention program design
- Participate in multidisciplinary team and case meetings
- Maintain accurate documentation per district/state guidelines
- Promote student mental health and well-being
Requirements:
- Active Illinois Professional Educator License required
- School Psychology endorsement required
- Masters or Specialist degree in School Psychology required
- Strong knowledge of RTI and special education processes
- Experience with ECGrade 8 populations preferred
- Strong assessment and evaluation skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Strong documentation and organizational skills
- Ability to work in large school district setting
- Professional references required upon request
