As a Software Engineer at Applied Materials youll dive deep into ground-breaking technologieslike machine learning and AIto craft novel software solutions that solve our customers high-value problems. Our Software Engineers are responsible for designing prototyping developing and debugging software solutions for semiconductor equipment components and devices to ensure quality and functionality. Your Opportunity
We are looking for a Computing Full Stack Engineer with strong computing system skills in Linux environments and a solid understanding of infrastructure fabric. This role focuses on building automation performance optimization and integration solutions using scripting and configuration management tools. The ideal candidate will bridge development and infrastructure knowledge to deliver robust infra as code solutions.
Roles and Responsibility
- Design and develop automation scripts to config and deploy Linux platforms storage network FW Hypervisor and virtualization containers and K8s platforms.
- Performance optimization for compute workloads.
- Design and develop automation scripts and tools using Ansible python Bash.
Mandatory skills & knowledge:
- Linux: Package management Systemd services User/permission management NFS shares Management
- Hypervisor: Configuring VM Networks Configuring Resource Provisioning
- Storage: SAN/NAS (iSCSI NFS) Distributed Storage Configuring RAID or Similar.
- Network: VLANs Trunking or link aggregation Wireshark troubleshot.
- FW: Configured rules Worked with appliance-based.
- Containers: Docker/Podman Deployed containerized applications in production
- Kubernetes: Self-managed or managed Written and applied Kubernetes manifests Deployments Services ConfigMaps
Good to have Skills:
- Ansible Bash or Python scripting.
- Exposure to CI/CD concepts (awareness only).
Qualifications & Years of Work Experience -
- BE/B Tech/M Tech or relevant qualifications
- Total 6-12 years of relevant work experience
