Job Title: Accountant – European Operations Location: Delhi
Job Overview: We are looking for a Chartered Accountant with 1–3 years of post-qualification experience to join our Delhibased Global Finance team supporting European operations managed out of Germany. The role offers meaningful ownership of accounting deliverables for assigned EU entities direct interaction with German finance leads and structured exposure to IFRS reporting in a multinational environment. The position is ideal for a CA seeking to build a long-term career in international finance within a centralized global support function.
Key Responsibilities:
• Own end-to-end general ledger accounting for assigned European entities ensuring accuracy and timeliness of monthly quarterly and annual close activities. • Prepare and review journal entries accruals provisions and reclassifications in accordance with IFRS and group accounting policies. • Manage balance sheet reconciliations and drive timely resolution of reconciling items in coordination with German counterparts. • Handle intercompany accounting including transaction matching settlements and reconciliations across multiple EU entities. • Support fixed asset accounting lease accounting (IFRS 16) and other technical accounting areas under the guidance of senior team members. • Coordinate with statutory auditors and internal audit teams providing schedules explanations and supporting documentation. • Contribute to process standardization and documentation of accounting SOPs to strengthen the centralized service model. • Engage regularly with German stakeholders on close deliverables queries and reporting requirements. Requirements
• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 1–3 years of post-qualification experience. • Strong understanding of accounting principles financial reporting and month-end close processes. • Proficiency in MS Excel including advanced functions and large data set handling. • Effective written and verbal communication skills suited to working with global stakeholders. • Ability to manage timelines prioritize deliverables and work independently within a structured environment. • Prior experience in a Global Capability Centre (GCC) shared services or MNC finance function. • Working knowledge of IFRS; exposure to German GAAP (HGB) is a plus. • Hands-on experience with SAP (FI/CO) or comparable ERP systems. • Exposure to European entities or cross-border accounting environments.
