Bridgewater College a member of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference and NCAA Division III is seeking applications for the position of Assistant Womens Flag Football Coach beginning July 2026. This is a full-time position reporting to the Head Womens Flag Football Coach.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting the head coach in all facets of a Division III flag football program.
  • Recruiting prospective student-athletes who fit the mission and culture of the program and the College
  • Serve as Offensive Coordinator by leading offensive practices implementing schemes and developing players while also coaching position groups through skill development fundamentals and the advancement of football IQ.
  • Assist with practice planning scouting film breakdown game prep and stats.
  • Providing mentoring and support for the student-athletes particularly in regards to academics and player development
  • Help build team culture leadership accountability and SISTERHOOD.
  • Assist Head Coach with the management of travel equipment paperwork camps clinics fundraising and community service.
  • Oversee program marketing branding and social media presence.
  • Maintain NCAA conference and college compliance while handling additional athletic department duties.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors Degree required
  • Prior coaching experience in flag football football or other sports is required. Preference will be given to candidates with flag football playing or coaching experience as well as experience coaching womens sports.
  • Strong knowledge of offensive schemes player development and game strategy required.
  • Ability to work nights weekends and travel
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and effective communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience with social media (Instagram Facebook etc.)
  • Basic competency in Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint etc.) applications is required.
  • Must possess a valid drivers license and be insurable by the colleges auto insurance carrier.

Pay is competitive and salary is commensurate with experience. This full-time position offers a full benefits package including paid tuition at the College for eligible dependents.
