Saunders Walsh & Beard is a respected mid-sized law firm based in McKinney Texas with a strong reputation throughout Collin County and the DallasFort Worth Metroplex. Founded in 2012 the firm has developed established practices in litigation construction law eminent domain estate planning and real estate while maintaining a collaborative and client-centered culture.
As several senior partners begin transitioning toward retirement the firm is strategically seeking a Lateral Partner with a complementary civil practice area to help support the next generation of firm leadership and continued growth.
This opportunity is designed for an attorney seeking more than simply a platform for an existing practice. The role offers meaningful leadership influence collaboration across practice groups and the ability to continue expanding a sustainable book of business within a collegial and entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality legal work and client service
- Cultivate and expand client relationships
- Collaborate with partners and leadership to support strategic growth
- Mentor associates and junior attorneys
- Contribute to a collaborative and team-oriented firm culture
- Support cross-referral and practice development opportunities
Candidate Profile
- 7 years of relevant civil practice experience strongly preferred
- Slightly less experience may be considered for exceptional candidates
- Established or developing book of business approximately $200k preferred
- Desire and ability to grow practice toward $500k annually
- Subject matter expertise in a complementary practice area
- Texas Bar license in good standing required
- Strong leadership interpersonal and business development skills preferred
- Interest in long-term succession and firm leadership opportunities is highly valued
Compensation & Benefits
- Compensation based on a percentage of collections
- A hybrid compensation structure may be available for the right candidate
- Significant upside potential tied to origination and growth
- Partial health insurance reimbursement provided
- 401(k) with dollar-for-dollar employer match up to 4%
- Bar dues and Texas state occupation tax covered by the firm
- CLE reimbursement up to annual limit
- Cell phone plan coverage provided
