Kennedy Donovan Center (KDC) is seeking compassionate dedicated individuals or families to become Shared Living Caregivers. In this unique opportunity you will open your home to an adult with developmental or intellectual disabilities and provide a supportive inclusive living environment that promotes independence dignity and community engagement.
About the Role
As a Shared Living Caregiver you will welcome an individual into your home and support them with daily living activities while fostering a safe stable and enriching environment. This is a highly rewarding opportunity to build a lasting relationship and make a direct impact on someones quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Provide a safe comfortable and supportive home environment
- Assist with daily living skills such as cooking hygiene and budgeting
- Support medical behavioral and personal care needs (as applicable)
- Facilitate community involvement socialization and recreational activities
- Coordinate and attend appointments as needed
- Maintain documentation and communicate regularly with the KDC care team
- Collaborate with case managers and clinical staff to support individual goals

Qualifications
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older
- Have a spare bedroom in your home
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
- Must be able to provide proof of U.S. citizenship
- Ability to pass background checks (CORI/BRC fingerprinting etc.)
- Experience in caregiving human services or a related field preferredbut not required
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate patient approach
