How would you like to build the AWS Cloud Computing business for the United States Department of War Would you like to be part of a team focused on cloud transformation and adoption of Amazon Web Services by engaging with key Defense customers systems integrators and solutions providers who are reinventing their IT strategy by adopting and delivering cloud computing solutions

As a Principal Sales Executive for Amazon Web Services (AWS) you will have the exciting opportunity to help shape and deliver on a DoW partner strategy to build mind share and broad use of Amazons utility computing web services to help modernize and transform enterprise and mission systems with strategic partners to provide cloud based capabilities for the Department of War.

This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen.

Key job responsibilities
In this role you will:
Develop a growing book of business in the Department of War sales team.
Drive business and technical relationships and close business at a rapid rate by helping to define identify and pursue key opportunities.
Establish deep business and technical relationships through your knowledge of the customers mission and the AWS partner community.
Have day-to-day interactions with key strategic partners DIB partners and emerging tech partners
Have both a business background that enables them to drive an engagement and interact at senior military and civilian levels.
Have a technical background that enables them to easily interact with partners staff officers contracting officials software developers and architects.
Have experience thinking strategically about the mission product and technical challenges with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions.
Help identify key strategies for growth that apply across the Defense and Intelligence business areas
Be able to travel as necessary.


- 15 years of IT sales experience
- 10 years of technology sales experience
- Experience reaching and exceeding sales revenue goals
- Experience delivering results for large cross-functional initiatives/projects or experience communicating results to senior leadership
- Bachelors degree or above or 5 years of equivalent experience
- 10 years working with Systems Integrators and/or technology partners supporting the DoW
- 10 years experience working with Federal Systems Integrators and Business Partners supporting the DoD

- US government security clearance of top secret or above
- 8 years of enterprise scale infrastructure or development-based cloud programs/projects in a related industry experience
- Masters degree or above in computer science engineering mathematics or equivalent or Masters degree and 5 years of professional or military experience

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments restricted stock units (RSUs) and sales incentives. Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
