TheBehaviorSpecialist/Behavior Technicianis responsible fordirect delivery of behavioral services to children and families/caregivers.This positionmaintainsaccuraterecord keeping of case notes and communicateswith supervisingBoard-CertifiedBehaviorAnalystabout the program and the progress of the treatment planfor individuals served.The positionwillutilizethe strategies and principles of Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) to manage a caseload ofclients andwork withtheirfamilies byprovidingservices in family homesor otherappropriate settings.Reports toa Clinical Administratoror aBoard-CertifiedBehavior Analyst (BCBA).

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Works under the supervision of a BCBA to collaborativelyestablishand/or implement a treatment plan based on a functional assessment.
  • Provide direct delivery of the behavioral services to the children and families by implementing goals andobjectivesto ensure safety and engagement inappropriate instructional leisure and daily living activities within a natural environment and under the supervision of a BCBA.
  • May prepare written assessments assessing service recipients from multiple perspectives including family functioning social academic and behavioral skills strengths barriers self-sufficiency treatment history and others andutilizingvarious assessment instruments asappropriate.
  • Implement language and academic programs by collecting individual progress datamaintainingprogram books and creating teaching materials.
  • Document case activities or other required daily documentation for both data analysis and billing purposes in a timely manner.
  • Schedule and keep scheduled appointments to support family with implementing behavior intervention in home and schedule and keep supervision meetings with BCBA for supervision and as needed.
  • Discuss treatment progress supports family in implementing in-home behavior strategies that support the treatment plan and responds to parents and/ or guardiansregardingoperations events incidents etc.
  • Attends job specific conferences and/or training as scheduled andassistsin the trainings and mentoring ofnew staff
  • Communicate effectively about all ideassuccessesor concerns
  • Performs other duties as assigned

MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

  • Must be 21 years of age
  • A valid acceptabledrivers license
  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)certificationrequired
    • Any applicant who is not RBT certified at hire will be given 6 months to obtain certification
  • Bachelors degree in psychology humanservicesor a relatedfield OR
    • Associatesdegree and 3 months experience working with children required OR
    • High school diploma and 6 months experience working with childrenrequired
  • Prior experience working with children with developmental and/or intellectual disabilitiespreferred
  • Experience in writing Positive Behavior Support plans and in designing and evaluating behavioral interventionspreferred
  • Effective oral and written communication skills and outstanding social skills
  • Solid reporting skills and impartial assessment skills are essential
  • RequiresUkerucertification

COMPENSATION

  • $21.38-$28.04/hr. based on experience

SCHEDULE AVAILABILITY

  • Between 7:00AM-6:00PM
