Position Details

• Employment Type: Full-time (30 hours per week)
• Schedule: 12:30pm 8:30pm with every other weekend required
• Pay: Starting at$14.00/hour plus shift differential
• Perks: Free meals provided on every shift

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the cook with meal preparation and service
• Prepare beverages cereals breads salads and desserts according to menu plans and dietary needs
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in all dietary areas including dishwashing and storage
• Set up carts dining areas and staff dining room for meal service
• Follow oral and written instructions including recipes and meal orders
• Handle and store food safely label and date leftovers and replenish supplies
• Attend training classes and implement new skills as needed
• Interact positively with residents family members and staff
• Follow all health safety and facility policies and procedures

Qualifications

• Some high school coursework diploma or GED preferred
• Experience in food service is a plus but not required we provide on-the-job training!
• Ability to read and follow recipes and instructions with attention to detail
• Physical ability to stand walk lift (up to 75 lbs) and perform cleaning duties
• Patience compassion and a desire to serve the elderly community
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and with cleaning chemicals
• Must be free from infectious diseases
