Role : IT Asset Manager
Location : San Jose CA ( Onsite)
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate records of all IT assets including hardware software
- Oversee the entire asset lifecycle-from procurement to retirement ensuring that all processes meet organizational requirements.
- Coordinate with various teams such as IT engineering procurement and finance teams to track asset movements assignments and disposals maintaining accuracy throughout.
- Develop and implement asset tracking auditing and reporting processes that integrations automations to a no touch process.
- Generate regular and ad-hoc reports on asset inventory utilization and compliance for service owner project requests and management review.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to asset data integrity with associated systems in IT infrastructure guaranteeing compliance with internal and external standards.
- Maintain application & infrastructure required for asset management.
- Establish best practices in IT asset management.
Required Skills
- Demonstrated hands-on experience managing IT assets in a medium to large organization with a proven track record of meeting compliance requirements.
- Strong working knowledge of OpenText or similar enterprise asset tracking tools.
- Solid understanding of IT infrastructure components including servers storage networking and end-user devices.
- Proven Integration knowledge & experience combining business applications and infrastructure services
- Strong knowledge in understanding business needs and delivering reporting requirements.
- Strong knowledge of web applications their deployment.
- Excellent organizational analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail and compliance requirements.
- Ability to communicate eAectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with ITIL or other IT service management and compliance frameworks.
- Experience with defining & building a process; process automation and workflow opimization within asset management systems.
- Familiarity with compliance standards and audit requirements related to IT assets such as SOX GDPR or ISO certifications.
Qualification
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science or related field.
- Certification in IT Asset Management e.g. CITAM or compliance is advantageous.
