Summer School Age Care (SAC) Program Assistant

Position Summary:The Summer SACProgram Assistant assists the Summer SAC Supervisor and a Team Leadindesigning a daily engaging creative and developmentally appropriate environment for children in grades K-5 which promotes social growth enhances self-esteem provides for mastery of tasks and develops self-reliance in a child. The Summer SACProgram Assistant is also responsible for helping document behavior incidents and accidents that result in direct communication between parents and program staff. Up to 5positions available.

Position Requirements:Must be at least 14 years of age at the start of the position.Documented successful work history with children is preferred with evidence of strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Position requires a current CPR and first aid certificate to be held or obtained within anagreed-upon timeframe of employment and complete Bloodborne Pathogens training. Successful candidates will have consistent and reliable attendance with flexible availability to work between June 8 and August 20. The summer care site is closed on June19 and July 3.

Language Skills: Demonstrate proficiency in the English language using positive body language and tone of voice.

Physical Demands: Mobility and ability to occasionally lift and/or move up totwenty-five pounds. Hearing speech and sight are required. Specific vision requirements include close vision distance vision peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Other Skills & Abilities: The Summer SAC Team Lead must possess skills in building quality relationships with children and maintaining cooperative staff partnerships. Maintain the confidentiality of all information regarding students. Provide parent communication as appropriate related to program activities and a childs participation and choices within the program day. Perform duties with a structured daily schedule and with an awareness of program standard operating practices district expectations and Board of Education policies.

Schedule:

June 8 - August 20 2026 *Program closed on June 19 and July 3.

Varied 4-8 hour assignments will be coordinated with successful candidates to ensure coverage of summersite hours 6:30 am - 5:30 pm.

Pay Rate:
A-1-3 / $16.81 -20.28per hour depending on experience
