Fleet Program Manager
Position Overview
Manages comprehensive fleet operations including vehicle deployment maintenance programs battery systems parts inventory and vendor coordination to maximize fleet performance safety compliance and cost efficiency at client sites.
Key Responsibilities
Fleet & Maintenance OperationsOversee daily fleet operations spare vehicle pool preventative maintenance programs and warranty management. Ensure database integrity in GM Mobile Equipment Group ITT and Maximo systems. Manage battery lifecycle programs including acquisition refurbishment and rapid charge systems. Direct spare parts procurement inventory planning and vendor performance.
Team & Vendor ManagementSupervise JLL maintenance mechanics and contractor personnel. Coordinate with GM technicians union labor groups housekeeping teams and external vendors. Facilitate stakeholder communication across JLL leadership client teams and plant customers.
Program Development & OptimizationResearch and implement cost savings initiatives and service improvements. Manage training programs conduct equipment utilization analysis and lead continuous improvement efforts. Oversee asset disposal emergency services and short-term rental programs. Execute project implementation and business plan deployment.
Required Skills
- 5 years fleet operations or industrial equipment management experience
- Maintenance management system proficiency (Maximo or equivalent CMMS)
- Team leadership and vendor management capabilities
- Preventative maintenance and fleet optimization expertise
- Data analysis reporting and project management experience
- Strong stakeholder communication skills
- Safety compliance and budget management knowledge
- Microsoft Office proficiency
Preferred Skills
- Automotive manufacturing or industrial production environment experience
- GM systems familiarity (Mobile Equipment Group ITT Database)
- Battery management and charging system knowledge
- Union labor environment experience
- Lean/Six Sigma or continuous improvement certifications
- Bachelors degree in Engineering Business or Operations Management
