Compensation
Salary: $97100 - $148700/yr
Bonus: $7500 annually

Position Summary
The Senior Manager Lab Operations is responsible for leading day-to-day technical and operational functions within the laboratory ensuring smooth execution of processes regulatory compliance and teammate development. This role provides hands-on leadership for laboratory teams and serves as a bridge between frontline operations and senior leadership. The position reports to the Director Laboratory Operations.
Primary Functions
Oversight of assigned laboratory lanes to ensure they meet performance quality and financial targets
Monitor data and key performance metrics to make informed decisions about staffing resources and workflow
Support standardization of processes policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal state and local regulations
Partner with leadership on long-term planning for service line growth and operational improvements
Lead and engage laboratory supervisors and frontline teams to foster a culture of accountability belonging and high performance
Mentor emerging leaders focusing on professional growth and succession planning
Drive cross-shift and cross-department communication to support operational excellence
Ensure laboratory testing is performed accurately documented properly and compliant with applicable regulatory requirements
Oversee quality control and quality assurance programs to maintain the highest standards of laboratory services
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers ensuring service excellence
Resolve operational issues and client concerns in a timely professional manner
Support strategic initiatives projects and continuous improvement activities as needed
Must-Haves
Bachelors degree in Medical Technology or related sciences
Minimum of 5 years of laboratory leadership experience in a high-volume high-complexity testing environment with a proven track record of leading teams driving process improvements and managing operational performance
Strong knowledge of laboratory regulatory standards (CAP CLIA federal and state)
Medical Technologist registry (ASCP NCA AAB or equivalent)
Florida Supervisor license
Proficiency in MS Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams
Preferred Qualifications
Masters degree in business administration or relevant sciences
