    Position Overview:

    • We are seeking a passionate and dedicated 7th-grade English Language Arts teacher to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will inspire and engage students in a positive learning environment fostering a love for ELA and critical thinking skills. This role involves creating lesson plans assessing student progress and collaborating with fellow educators to enhance our curriculum.

    Key Responsibilities:


    Instruction and Planning

    • Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that align with state standards and meet the developmental needs of students.
    • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and promotes respect and cooperation.
    • Assess and monitor student progress regularly providing timely feedback to students and parents.
    • Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
    • Collaborate with colleagues parents and the community to promote student success and well-being.
    • Implement classroom management strategies to support a productive learning atmosphere.
    • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices.
    • Foster a love of learning through creative teaching techniques and hands-on activities.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date student attendance progress and assessment data records.


    Student-Centered Environment

    • Cultivate a safe nurturing atmosphere conducive to learning for all students.
    • Promote social-emotional development and positive behavior interventions.
    • Monitor student progress and implement strategies to support diverse learners.


    Family and Community Engagement

    • Build strong relationships with families and engage them in their childs education.
    • Communicate effectively with families keeping them informed and involved in school activities.
    • Partner with local organizations and community resources to support student and family needs.


    Qualifications:

    • Bachelors Degree in Education or a related field.
    • Valid teaching license or credential for the appropriate grade level/subject area.
    • Experience in a classroom setting preferably in a middle/high school environment.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students parents and colleagues.
    • Ability to work collaboratively as a team and contribute to a positive school culture.
    • Passion for education committed to developing student potential and encouraging lifelong learning.


    Preferred Skills:

    • Knowledge of educational technology and the ability to integrate it into the classroom.
    • Familiarity with differentiated instruction techniques to support diverse students.
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills.


    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to stand walk and engage with students and staff for extended periods.
    • Capacity to respond to emergencies and manage student behavior in various situations.


    Additional Information:

    • The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or nonprescribed controlled substance in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the district.
