Job Summary:
Ashley Hall is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to serve as the Head Coach for our Junior Varsity Tennis program. This individual will be responsible for leading all aspects of the JV team including practice planning player development and match management while collaborating with the Varsity Head Coach to ensure program continuity. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in tennis leadership experience and a genuine passion for mentoring student-athletes at the developmental level.

Key Responsibilities:
Program Leadership: Lead and manage all aspects of the JV Tennis program creating a structured and positive team environment focused on growth effort and sportsmanship.
Player Development: Provide individualized and group instruction to improve technical skills such as serving forehands backhands volleys footwork and match strategy. Support athlete progression toward the varsity level.
Practice Planning: Design and implement effective engaging practice sessions that emphasize skill development conditioning and match readiness.
Match Management: Coach and support student-athletes during matches including lineup decisions in-match coaching and post-match feedback.
Athlete Mentorship: Foster the personal development of student-athletes by emphasizing accountability confidence communication and resilience.
Collaboration: Work closely with the Varsity Head Coach and athletic staff to align program goals share player evaluations and support overall team success.
Community Engagement: Build positive relationships with students parents and the broader school community. Promote enthusiasm and support for the tennis program.
Administrative Duties: Manage team logistics including equipment scheduling communication with families and adherence to school and athletic department policies.
Qualifications:
Experience: Prior experience coaching or playing tennis at the high school collegiate or competitive level preferred. Experience working with developing athletes is strongly valued.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of tennis fundamentals match strategy scoring and player development principles.
Leadership & Communication: Ability to lead motivate and connect with student-athletes. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.
Commitment: Availability for practices and matches including afternoons evenings and occasional weekends.
Collaboration & Teamwork: Ability to work effectively with other coaches and school staff to create a cohesive and positive program culture.
Coaching Certification: Relevant coaching certification (e.g. USTA or equivalent) is a plus but not required.
