The main role of this position is to clean and degrease the cylinders that come in for repair efficiently disassemble these cylinders move the parts to the write-up staging area and maintain a clean organized work area. This position is the first stop in the cylinder repair process. The ability to efficiently disassemble cylinders using the appropriate resources to ensure that both customer and DHI processes are followed is key to success in this position.
Responsibilities
- Accurately record start and stop times in our Job Tracking System (DATS)
- Refer to Cylinder Specific Instructions for disassembly
- Report concerns regarding disassembly difficulties
- Use appropriate tools and resources to safely and efficiently disassemble cylinders
- Perform the cylinder shop wash procedure DHI-CS
- Perform the cylinder shop disassembly procedure DHI-CS
- Complete the daily clean-up procedure
- Maintain an organized workspace and return all tooling to its storage location
- Report any damaged tools and equipment to your supervisor
- Report any difficulties with completing daily task(s) and suggest potential improvements
- Assist our truck drivers and salespeople with un-loading / loading when needed
- Assist with pick-up and deliveries when needed
- Follow all DHI safety guidelines and report any accidents or un-safe condition
Requirements
- Minimum High School Diploma and/or Trade or Technical Schooling in Mechanic or Mechanical based program.
- Willingness to move through Cylinder Shop training/education plan and promotion progression which may require IFPS.

Hours of Work
- Day shift: Monday thru Friday 6:00AM to 2:00PM
- Afternoon Shift: Monday thru Wednesday or Wednesday thru Friday 2:00PM to 2:00AM
