Job Summary
As a Mechanical Technician you play a crucial role in leading and supporting the installation and commissioning of new manufacturing equipment. Your expertise in mechanical systems hydraulics pneumatics conveyors bearings and gear systems drives operational readiness and production capacity. This position is 100% onsite and demands hands-on technical skills strong troubleshooting abilities and proactive vendor collaboration to keep projects on track. Expect a dynamic project-driven environment with overtime and off-hours work linked to project milestones.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support new equipment installations and capacity expansions
- Debug manufacturing lines ensuring swift operational readiness
- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical failures (pumps motors conveyors hydraulics pneumatics)
- Align test and calibrate mechanical systems post-installation
- Design and implement mechanical solutions to enhance equipment reliability
- Manage spare parts identification and storeroom records in tandem with suppliers and engineers
- Collaborate directly with vendors and suppliers on technical issues maintaining project scope timing and cost
- Develop and update technical and operational documentation
- Train operations staff on new equipment and process adjustments
- Maintain safe work practices and proactively address hazardous conditions
What We Need From You
- Associate s degree or higher
- Minimum 3 years hands-on experience in manufacturing equipment installations
- Proficiency with hand tools power tools and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to interpret technical drawings blueprints schematics
- Self-motivated organized and comfortable managing multiple priorities
Preferred Qualifications (Bonus)
- Start-up or line commissioning experience
- Project leadership or milestone management
- Vendor/supplier management
- CAD proficiency
- CMMS familiarity
- Millwright HVAC welding or OSHA certifications
