Wordings Specialist Specialty

We are looking for a Wordings and Coverage Specialist to join our London office working within Locktons Specialty division.

In this role you will work closely with brokers account handlers and other internal stakeholders to provide technical wordings support across a range of specialty risks. While the role will partner closely with specific specialty practices including ProExec and Professions PI it is designed to support the wider Specialty division and maintain breadth across multiple classes.

Locktons Wordings Specialists act as a key point of referral for coverage review and analysis client service development product development and thought leadership. The team plays an important role in enhancing Locktons client propositions strengthening credentials in tenders and supporting effective insurer negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Building strong working relationships across the Specialty division and wider business
• Providing technical insurance coverage advice across specialty risks
• Reviewing and drafting coverage input and policy comparisons prior to external release
• Advising on policy wording queries and drafting endorsements
• Conducting reviews of Lockton-drafted policy wordings
• Drafting new Lockton policy wordings and supporting product development initiatives
• Reviewing contractual liability provisions in clients third party agreements and analysing coverage against policy wordings
• Communicating identified coverage issues to internal stakeholders and clients with appropriate sensitivity to commercial considerations
• Contributing to internal training and knowledge sharing supporting the development of colleagues and associates

• Significant and demonstrable technical insurance expertise in professional and executive risks and/or other specialty lines
