Job Summary
In partnership with our client we are seeking a Logistics Executive to support the day-to-day execution of logistics and supply chain operations for a leading retail brand based in Lagos. You will coordinate dispatches track deliveries liaise with transport partners and ensure every order moves seamlessly from warehouse to customer. Who are we looking for
- You are a logistics operations professional with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar role with a strong understanding of dispatch delivery and supply chain coordination.
- You are highly detail-oriented and understand that accuracy in documentation stock movement and delivery tracking is non-negotiable.
- You are a strong communicator comfortable liaising with drivers riders 3PL partners and internal teams clearly and professionally.
- You are proactive and solutions-focused someone who spots issues early escalates them promptly and does not wait for problems to grow before acting.
- You are organised and systematic able to maintain accurate physical and digital records in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- You are reliable punctual and committed to meeting deadlines even when the pressure is high and the pace is relentless.
- You are physically fit and capable of meeting the demands of a warehouse environment including picking packing and preparing outbound orders when required.
Your Responsibilities
Dispatch and Delivery Coordination
- You will coordinate daily dispatch activities and documentation ensuring all outbound orders are picked packed and prepared accurately and within required timeframes.
- You will verify outbound shipments against dispatch documentation to ensure order accuracy before loading and coordinate with transport carriers and drivers to ensure timely collection and delivery.
- You will track deliveries in real time updating delivery status and escalating delays discrepancies or carrier issues to the Logistics Lead promptly.
- You will liaise with drivers riders and 3PL partners on a daily basis ensuring smooth communication and timely resolution of any delivery challenges.
Documentation and Record Keeping
- You will generate and process all required dispatch documentation including delivery notes consignment notes and packing lists ensuring accuracy and completeness at every stage.
- You will accurately complete logistics documentation including goods receipt notes stock transfer forms damage reports and discrepancy logs.
- You will maintain up-to-date and well-organised physical and digital filing of all logistics-related records.
Reporting and Performance Tracking
- You will prepare daily activity logs and contribute data to operational reports as requested by the Logistics Lead.
- You will assist in tracking key metrics including delivery performance order accuracy and stock movement data flagging anomalies or recurring issues for escalation.
- You will support logistics reporting and reconciliation with the Finance team to ensure alignment on stock movement and delivery outcomes.
Issue Resolution and Support
- You will ensure proof of delivery documentation is captured consistently and accurately for every shipment.
- You will support the resolution of delivery disputes short shipments or damaged goods claims under the guidance of the Logistics Lead.
What Success looks like
- All dispatches completed accurately and on time with zero order errors resulting from documentation gaps or coordination failures.
- Real-time delivery tracking maintained consistently with delays and exceptions escalated and resolved within defined timeframes.
- Accurate and complete logistics documentation filed and accessible for every shipment supporting seamless reconciliation with Finance.
- Consistent contribution to daily activity logs and operational reports providing the Logistics Lead with reliable data for decision-making.
- Delivery performance and order accuracy metrics tracked and reported regularly with issues flagged proactively before they escalate.
To be considered for this role you should have
- A Bachelors degree or Higher National Diploma in Logistics Transport Management Business Administration Supply Chain Management or a related field.
- A minimum of 4 years of logistics operations experience in a similar role.
- Good coordination and communication skills with experience liaising with drivers suppliers and 3PL partners.
- Proficiency in Excel and logistics tracking tools.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in all documentation and record-keeping tasks.
