Tennis Associate

Oneida Golf and Country Club is excited to announce an exceptional career opportunity for a Tennis Associate! Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service.

• Supervise all tennis play proper charging of fees and rental of equipment.
• Initiate direct and promote tennis clinics special events and programs to attract and maintain members tennis interests.
• Provide beginning through advanced instruction (private and group) for all levels of players.
• Implement and develop lesson programs for adults and juniors.
• Enforce all club rules and regulations governing the use of the club/facility its equipment and other property.
• Properly represent the club in state or national events as time permits.
• Prepare a monthly calendar of events.
• Work cooperatively with other departments to develop combined programs for the membership.
• Ensure proper inspection of the courts/facilities daily prior to the start of play and confirm that all necessary maintenance has been performed and the courts are in safe working order; report any maintenance problems to the department manager or Maintenance Manager.
• Monitor court usage including special events clinics and lessons.
• Responsible for interviewing hiring training planning assigning and directing work; evaluating performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Manage department members which may include but is not limited to Tennis Instructors.
• Assure that effective orientation and training are provided to each new associate and develop ongoing training programs.
• Monitor business volume forecasts and plan accordingly in areas of manpower productivity costs and other expenses.
• Implement and maintain excellent service to achieve guest satisfaction.
