Responsibilities
Description
The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) serves as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams ensuring business needs are accurately translated into functional and system requirements. This role focuses on optimizing business processes supporting system enhancements and enabling effective use of enterprise systems to drive business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business stakeholders to elicit analyze and document business and functional requirements
- Translate business needs into clear system requirements user stories workflows and acceptance criteria
- Analyze existing business processes and systems to identify gaps inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement
- Collaborate with architects developers and product owners to design configure and implement system solutions
- Support end-to-end system lifecycle activities including planning testing deployment and post-implementation support
- Facilitate workshops interviews and working sessions to align stakeholders on requirements and solution design
- Develop and maintain documentation and artifacts such as Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) Functional Requirements Specifications (FRS) and process maps and data flow diagrams
- Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) including test case development and defect triage
- Ensure solutions align with enterprise standards data governance and security policies
- Act as a change agent by supporting training documentation and user adoption efforts
- Monitor solution performance and recommend system enhancements based on business feedback and metrics
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration Information Systems Computer Science or a related field
- 37 years of experience as a Business Analyst Business Systems Analyst or in a similar role
- Strong experience gathering analyzing and documenting business and system requirements
- Working knowledge of SDLC Agile and/or SAFe methodologies
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language (and vice versa)
- Strong analytical problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders effectively
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with enterprise platforms such as CRM ERP HRIS or data/reporting systems
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira Confluence Azure DevOps ServiceNow Visio or Lucid
- Experience with process modeling (e.g. BPMN) data analysis or system integrations/APIs
- Agile certifications (e.g. CSM SAFe Agilist) or business analysis certifications (e.g. CBAP CCBA)

A reasonable estimate of the base compensation range for this position is $65400 - $102900 USD. This compensation range is specific to the United States and it incorporates many factors including but not limited to an applicants skills and prior relevant experience and training; licensures degrees and certifications; internal equity; internal pay ranges; and market data/range parameters.
