The Inventory Lead Specialist shall be responsible for the inventory of all material contained in all NMRLC warehouses. The inventory lead will ensure that all inventory personnel perform 100% inventory annually. The inventory lead specialist is responsible for all inventory requirements specified in DOD U.S. Navy and NMRLC instructions as well as requirements specified in the PWS.

Performs inventory control work supporting a broad range of duties required to accomplish the mission of a large production sustainment and distribution center. Duties will include counting types quantities and condition of items during annual inventories location surveys physical inventory material handling material examining and identifying packing operating Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and analyzing evaluating and revising command inventory.

Inventory Lead Specialist: Experience is required in inventory operations that include execution of inventory counts reconciliation of findings investigation/audit methods for inventory programs material pre-adjustment and causative research methods and operation of various material handling equipment. Knowledge of overall warehousing storage management plan and accepted warehousing methods. Knowledge of inventory functions operations program requirements and work methods. Knowledge of warehousing methods procedures material handling techniques and of activities such as material receiving and material storage impacting inventory operations. Knowledge of programs utilized in providing material support. Shall have a High School Diploma or equivalent.

Required Skills and Certifications - A valid drivers license to drive up to a 1.5-ton stake bed truck and 4-6K forklifts for the delivery of medical equipment supplies and furniture.
