Title: Lead Cloud Engineer

Location: Rockville MD or Mclean VA (Hybrid)

Contract: 6 months contract to long term

Overview

This position represents a shift away from analytics-focused hiring toward a true Software Engineering profile. The manager is specifically targeting experienced engineers with strong AWS expertise and a software development mindset rather than analytics or reporting backgrounds.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 9 10 years of overall software engineering experience required.
• Candidates with only 3 5 years of experience will not be considered.
• Must have 5 years of hands-on AWS experience.
• Strong problem-solving and solution-design capabilities within AWS-based environments.
• Software engineering background preferred over analytics-focused experience.

Technical Environment

• AWS-centric application development environment.
• Team supports a mix of:
  • Front-end development
  • Back-end development
  • Full-stack engineering
• Shared engineering model where developers contribute across five different applications.
• Engineers are expected to work across integrated systems and blended application environments.
