Job Description
ACCIONA is delivering a landmark infrastructure project on the Eyre Peninsula supporting the construction of a major desalination plant in the region. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a complex large-scale project within a high-performing and collaborative environment.
This role can be offered as FIFO from Adelaide or relocation to Port Lincon.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer Electrical to provide technical leadership and support the successful delivery of electrical systems on-site. Reporting to the Project Manager you will play a key role in ensuring all electrical works are delivered safely on time within budget and in line with project specifications and regulatory requirements.
You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams subcontractors and stakeholders to deliver integrated innovative and high-quality engineering outcomes.
Technical Leadership & Engineering
- Coordination and delivery of electrical systems within the site
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
- Ensure all designs and works comply with project client and regulatory requirements
- Oversee construction engineering activities and ensure method statements are implemented
- Manage temporary works and ensure appropriate design review and compliance processes
- Provide on-site technical support and resolve complex engineering challenges
Project Planning & Delivery
- Manage project schedules resources risks and scope along the critical path
- Develop and implement construction methodologies and engineering strategies
- Monitor progress and implement corrective actions to maintain project timelines
Required Skills and Competencies
8 years experience in electrical engineering within infrastructure or construction projects
Proven experience in electrical design delivery and site-based project execution
Strong leadership capability with experience mentoring junior team members
Demonstrated ability to manage project schedules risks and stakeholder expectations
Excellent communication problem-solving and decision-making skills
Bachelors degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline
Stakeholder Management
Engage effectively with internal teams subcontractors suppliers and clients
Support project communications and reporting across all phases
Drive collaboration and alignment across multidisciplinary teams
Safety Risk & Compliance
Champion a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to WHS standards
Integrate risk management practices into all engineering and construction activities
Ensure compliance with legislative environmental and quality requirements
