About the Position:
We are seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our outpatient clinic in Staten Island New York. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients improve mobility reduce pain and restore functional movement through individualized rehabilitation programs.
This role is ideal for a compassionate and motivated professional who is passionate about patient care and delivering high-quality rehabilitative services in a collaborative outpatient setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist Physical Therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans
- Provide therapeutic exercises stretching balance training and functional mobility activities
- Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising Physical Therapist
- Educate patients on home exercise programs and proper body mechanics
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the EMR system
- Prepare treatment areas and ensure a safe and clean clinical environment
- Collaborate with Physical Therapists and other healthcare providers to support patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Active New York State Physical Therapist Assistant license
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced outpatient setting
- New graduates are welcome to apply
