Your Role as a Director of Nursing (DON):

  • Lead plan and oversee daily operations of the nursing department
  • Supervise nursing staff including RNs LPNs CMAs and CNAs
  • Ensure compliance with all state federal and facility regulations
  • Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures
  • Monitor quality of care and implement performance improvement initiatives
  • Oversee hiring training scheduling and performance management of nursing staff
  • Provide clinical leadership guidance and support to the nursing team
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary departments to ensure coordinated resident-centered care
  • Maintain regulatory readiness and lead state survey processes
  • Foster a positive supportive and accountable care environment

What Were Looking For:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Ohio
  • Current CPR certification
  • Minimum of 5 years of long-term care nursing experience including leadership experience
  • Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations and clinical standards
  • Proven leadership decision-making and team development skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Compassionate resident-focused leadership approach
