Are you passionate about empowering students with visual impairments to achieve academic success and independence We are seeking a dedicated Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to join a collaborative educational team in Westminster Colorado for the school year.
This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing specialized instruction and support to students with visual impairments in an engaging educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver specialized instruction to students with visual impairments based on individualized educational goals.
- Collaborate with teachers administrators therapists and families to support student success.
- Conduct assessments and develop instructional strategies tailored to each students needs.
- Promote independence accessibility and the effective use of adaptive materials and assistive technology.
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions.
- Foster an inclusive learning environment that encourages student growth and achievement.
- Colorado Department of Education (CDE) License as a Special Education Specialist: Visual Impairment (must be active and in hand at the time of submission).
- Strong communication collaboration and organizational skills.
