Director of Import & Logistics

The Director of Import & Logistics is responsible for the strategic leadership and day-to-day execution of companies global logistics and transportation operations. This role owns the movement of products from our manufacturing partners in China and Vietnam through final delivery to our warehouses retail partners and customers.
This position requires a unique combination of visionary leadership and exceptional attention to detail. The ideal candidate can think strategically about building a scalable supply chain while simultaneously managing the operational details that ensure every purchase order container and shipment arrives on time and within budget.
As a key member of the leadership team this individual will drive logistics strategy oversee transportation and distribution performance manage critical external partnerships and create the systems and processes necessary to support the companys continued growth.

Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Logistics Business or related field preferred.
7 years of progressive experience in import logistics transportation supply chain or distribution management.
Proven experience managing imports from Asia specifically China and Vietnam.
Strong knowledge of ocean freight customs clearance international shipping documentation and domestic transportation.
Experience partnering with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and fulfillment operations.
Demonstrated success developing logistics strategies improving operational performance and reducing costs.
Strong leadership experience with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
Advanced proficiency in Excel ERP systems and logistics management tools.
Exceptional analytical organizational and project management skills.
