This position offers a consistent set schedule with a guaranteed 40 hours a week paid training and opportunities for overtime is available. Many development advancements can be offered as Crew Lead Positions Class A Licensing and testing from Journeyman to Master positions. All equipment is provided on the job.

Essential Functions:
- Maintain electrical wiring system and components in accordance with the provisions of the National Electrical Code and Industry Standards.
- Read blueprints wiring diagrams and schematics.
- Diagnose causes of electrical problems or failures to identify equipment and/or systems repair.
- Inform personnel regarding procedures and/or status of work orders to provide information for making decisions.
- Inspect electrical systems and their components to evaluate condition identify necessary repairs and recommend preventive maintenance actions.
- Operate and use required tools and equipment skillfully and safely; assemble install maintain and repair electrical apparatuses; make rough sketches; estimate cost time and materials of electrical work.
- Inspect troubleshoot isolate and repair electrical malfunctions using various test instruments.
- Maintain test and repair electrical equipment for safety and efficiency; plan the layout and wiring of new or existing installations.
- Fabricate electrical parts; inspect completed work for conformance with specifications requirements and compliance with applicable exterior and interior safety codes and regulations.
- Inspect related work performed by contractors; estimate cost time and materials for electrical projects; participate in the maintenance and operations of an electrical shop.
- Clean maintain and service tools and equipment used in the performance of duties.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical load centers and distribution systems.
- Analyze electrical plant operational characteristics and make recommendations to correct deficiencies and respond safely and appropriately to emergencies.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Licensed Journeyman Electrician
- Ability to obtain a Commercial Drivers License.
- Flexible schedule (relates to a 24/7/365 operating environment).
- Experienced in and/or knowledgeable of traffic monitoring and control systems.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Ability to operate and perform work in a bucket truck.
- Thorough knowledge of electrical theory and methods materials tools equipment and systems used in the electrical trade.
Required Education:
- High School diploma or demonstrated equivalent.
Required Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of field experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical components up to and including 480 VAC 3-phase systems.
- Experience utilizing electrical schematics diagrams and specifications
