Description:

Nurse Manager - Flexible Schedule (Four 10hr days)

The Oaks Assisted Living is seeking a compassionate experienced and dedicated Nurse Manager to oversee and coordinate the delivery of healthcare services to our residents. The Nurse Manager plays a vital leadership role in ensuring the highest level of clinical care regulatory compliance and staff development. This position requires strong clinical judgment excellent communication and a passion for working with seniors in a supportive and team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead nursing and caregiving staff ensuring high-quality care in accordance with state regulations and company policies

  • Oversee the assessment planning implementation and evaluation of resident care

  • Collaborate with physicians families and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care

  • Manage medication administration documentation and resident medical records

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable healthcare standards licensing and safety regulations

  • Conduct regular staff training and performance evaluations

  • Participate in the development and monitoring of care plans and risk assessments

  • Respond promptly to emergency situations and provide leadership during crisis situations

  • Monitor infection control practices and ensure best practices are followed

  • Participate in resident admissions and discharges including initial and ongoing assessments

  • Maintain effective communication with residents and families regarding care needs and updates

  • Support a culture of respect dignity and resident-centered care

Qualifications:

  • Current and active RN license in the State of Michigan

  • Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in a supervisory or managerial role in senior care or assisted living

  • Strong clinical organizational and interpersonal skills

  • Knowledge of assisted living regulations and standards

  • CPR/First Aid certification required

  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred

  • Ability to work flexible hours including occasional evenings weekends or on-call as needed
