We are a team of the nations best regardless of where we live.The Aerospace Structural/Finite Element Analysis (FEA) Analyst provides analytical modeling capabilities to the systems engineering team by leading structural static and dynamic and fatigue analysis to meet component system and customer cooperation with the Program Management team the Aerospace Structural/FEA Analyst leads and executes structural modeling and analysis efforts. This role is responsible for structural requirements compliance assessment interpreting and analyzing test data synthesizing test data and correlating structure models building up and maintaining structural models. During the program the Aerospace Structural/FEA Analyst will work with a multi-disciplinary project team of subject matter experts in fields such as thermal/aerospace analysis installation mechanical design and analysis reliability controls electronics and software and testing.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Assisting the System Engineer with developing the programs system architecture and technical approach. This can include structural analysis and recommendations for mounting interfaces.
- Identify and manage programs technical risks as it pertains to structural requirements.
- Serve as technical lead for structural modeling and analysis provide clear objectives that are measurable and attainable and coordinate modeling and analysis activities with other engineering functional groups.
- Work closely with the Systems Engineer and Program Manager to ensure successful execution of modeling analysis and testing development for programs.
- Manage structural technical requirements and assist the program Systems Engineer in their requirements traceability decomposition derivation and verification & validation.
- Verify/validate structural design of containment features such as housing and fasteners that are of sheet metal billet metals and composite materials.
- Allocate and decompose high-level requirements into lower-level specifications to internal functional groups components and suppliers as applicable for structural requirements.
- Using structural analysis artifacts provide design recommendations to the design and systems engineers to best be compliant to customer and system requirements while optimizing for SWaPC.
- Researching and recommending investments or changes in technology methodology toolsets procedures equipment systems etc. to continually improve the discipline health and the Intergalactics products and services.
- Communicate and collaborate with customers and suppliers as part of design development process.
- Review and approve documentation for transition from prototype to production.
- Provide engineering support to trouble shoot and diagnose non-performing products (RCCA lessons learned etc.).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Working knowledge of key aerospace technical disciplines including requirements management technical verification and validation methodologies mechanical design materials modeling/documentation structural analysis electrical systems development testing and analysis qualification analysis and testing.
- Deep expertise in structural analysis including static and dynamic analysis for structural and electronic components such as:
- Proof and burst pressure static analysis
- Dynamic analysis for vibration
- Dynamic analysis for operational and crash shock
- Thermal expansion analysis
- Fatigue analysis
- PCBA solder joint fatigue analysis (Steinberg Fatigue analysis)
- Expertise in FEA software preferably Ansys
- Excellent interpersonal relationship building both internally and externally.
- Familiarity of aerospace requirements management methodologies and processes traceability decomposition derivation verification and validation.
- Functional understanding of major aircraft systems: environmental control systems powerplant electrical hydraulics controls avionics power generation and structures.
- Experience with Vapor Cycle Systems (VCS) Liquid Cooling Systems (LCS) and/or Air Cycle Systems (ACS)
- Modeling experience and working knowledge of the physics of standard components in VCS LCS and ACS such as heat exchangers pumps compressors turbines fans valves motor and motor controllers water collectors/separators etc.
- Familiarity with environmental testing and qualification methods such as MIL-STD-810 and DO-160
- Highly proficient with CAD (preferably in NX).
- Working understanding of coding/scripting experience (preferably in MATLAB/Simulink or Python).

The base pay range for this position is $112000.00 - 120000.00 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidates experience education and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on June 24 2026.
