Job Summary
Hospitality SpecialistThe Hospitality Specialist is the primary point of contact for guests outside of the program experience to create a positive guest friendly environment. This position primarily helps to meet all guests needsincluding during meals and for their housing. This person should uphold excellent customer service standards in alignment with mission and values of include:Clean the floors sweep and mop make the beds mopping replenishing linens wipe down door knobs drawers counters etc. to ensure we have clean rooms and to drive and operate company the guidelines of the Housekeeping Room Turnover linens and blankets - transfer clean bedding from Sunshine Laundry van into housekeeping shed(s) and load housekeeping van with linens and blankets the cleanliness of all rooms and common spaces (including arts and crafts staff lounge main building synagogue offices inventory and replenishment of supplies (toilet paper paper towels soap etc.) in all individual and common rooms / up common rooms (synagogue rec. room dining room lounge etc.) depending on program the Supervisor and Maintenance of any problems with out garbage from all individual and common rooms/ respectful and helpful to colleagues where it relates to independently and as a may be approached by guests please do your best to help respond to their inquiries or find someone who can help i.e. Director of Retreats Facilities Manager or Manager on to step in and help in different departments to help in busy time frames of the :Excellent customer service skills; ability to maintain working within at least one of these areas (guest services dining housekeeping) but work experience in all departments a communication thinker with strong problem solving to :Attend weekly department monthly all-staff possess a solid work ethic with strong organizational and time-management skills excellent attention to detail professional verbal and written communication skills in English as well as provide excellent customer maintain a professional be able to adapt to changing tasks/duties as Conditions:This is a non-exempt position with work hours on any day of the week. Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions; write identifying information; request supplies verbally or in writing. Must have superior organizational skills and prioritize tasks well. Must be able to do light work exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally performing such activities as climbing balancing stooping kneeling crouching reaching standing pulling walking pushing lifting grasping feeling talking hearing and repetitive motions. Have visual requirements of mid-range vision.
